Some complain about the weight of a back pack blower. I currently have the EB 630 and am totally pleased with it. My next small purchase will be the new Shindaiwa EB 8510. ![]() I am starting my third year using a Shindaiwa C4 T2510 and will never go back to a two stroke trimmer. Those who are unable to change with the times will fall behind. it has a much wider torque curve and plenty of torque at ¼ + throttle settings, and it is 3. but not the Shindaiwa T2510, it is a one pull start every time, 2. it is easier to start, I have pulled and pulled on a two stroke and wanted to pull a KISS with it and smash it like Paul or some Rock N Roller would their guitar in concert. This thing is exactly the same as my two stroke counterparts as far as operation and maintenance, except a few points 1. However the Shindaiwa is a revolutionary product. I have heard of a lot of problems with the Stihl 4 mix products. This C4 T2510 is quieter and produces less pollution than its 2 stroke counterpart. I have not had to perform the valve adjustment as of yet. There really is no more maintenance than a 2 stoker, except a valve adjustment that is only $25.00. It is full of plenty of torque at all throttle positions. My Shindaiwa C4 T2510 is a one pull starter every time. I am going to play it safe with my money.4 mix is not an unproven technology. I made the mistake when I first start buying lawn equipment by buying the EB3410, I contribute to the R&D already. I rather pay same price for the old engine than to have the new one. The 31cc push rod has been around for 10years where the new GX35 only out for 2 years and has timing belt. ![]() When I bought my Honda trimmer, I bought HHT31S instead of the new HHT35S with the newer 35cc engine for the same reason. In the hybrid engines case, feedback is mixed at best. I am not going to blindly endorse a product just by default particularly when it is quite different from their existing products. This is the same reason I question Echo going to single ring engine. Boths Shindaiwa and Stihl make top quality 2 cycles equipment but it questionable on the hybrids. You really have to keep up with the news. They are wrong on V6 Camry and Lexus Gs430. People think any car by Toyota got to be good. I think people are too much into brands, just because they make good product does not guarentee their new product is as reliable. I own a C4, I absolute would not buy another hybrid. Bottom line, read the horse power and the size of the engine, pick the comparable ones to choose.įar as I concern, I would sacrifice a little spec to get one that have a more reliable track record. I read all those and try to make sense out of it but can't exactly. Click to expand. That's the whole point, they all have different standard of testing, not exactly apple to orange, but different enough to confuse people.
